explanation
PIPETREKKER is a portable, Canadian-made in-pipe inspection crawler.
Conventional in-pipe inspection crawlers often require large-scale equipment and vehicles, similar to camera vans. In contrast, PIPETREKKER features a setup closer to that of an underwater drone, enabling transport, installation, and inspection to be carried out by a small team.
Its mobility —eliminating the need for dedicated vehicles— has been highly valued worldwide, with more than 150 units deployed particularly across Canada and North America.
In addition to conventional pipeline inspections such as sewer, stormwater, and drainage systems, it is also expected to be used for inspections in locations where vehicle access is difficult, including factory piping, plant equipment, and onboard ship pipelines.
- A portable, Canadian-made in-pipe inspection crawler.
- It does not require large-scale equipment such as camera vehicles and can be operated by a small team.
- It features a configuration similar to an underwater drone, making it easy to transport to the site and set up.
- More than 150 units have been deployed across Canada and North America.
- It can be used for a wide range of in-pipe inspections, including sewer systems, stormwater drains, wastewater pipelines, factory piping, and even onboard ship pipelines.
- Thanks to its waterproof capability rated for depths of up to 50 meters, inspections can be conducted even in pipes where water remains.
PIPETREKKER is a new, flexible solution for conventional pipeline inspections.
It enables efficient assessment of pipe conditions, damage detection, blockage and sediment buildup inspection, and the creation of inspection records—particularly in locations where dedicated vehicles cannot be deployed or where quick on-site evaluation is required.
